    A Free Camp 10 kms North of Bourke, beside the Darling River. It is signposted to Mays Bend from the highway. The campsite is clean, but is all dirt and would probably turn into mud if there had been any rain. It is suitable for caravans or camping. There are no facilities and very little firewood. You need to take your rubbish out with you.

    Mays Bend and the camp area is good place to be. However the Shire Council could grade the road and gravel the long dirt section to attract more tourists. After all the shire promotes Mays Bend as one of its tourist features. Beside the formed road is dirt track used by most visitors on the 2 days we were there

    Hot dry and dusty. Only 6 vans here. No toilets but a great free camp site right on the river. Forgot to mention there is plenty of shade. Will stay here again.

    Good free camping have to be self sufficient
